Berry Basket Card

Hi everyone! I’m so sad that this die is going to be retired on May 31st! This was one of the cards my gals made at our last workshop.

Berry Basket frontBerry Basket side

With spring here and flowers blooming, I felt like this was the perfect time to make this card – and of course give it to someone so they can plant the packet of flowers that comes with it! To make this card, I just cut the basket out with my big shot and cut it directly in half. I scored the bottom so that it would create a pocket. Then I cut the scalloped edge out of the blackberry bliss cardstock and scored the edges so it would align with base and be 3D when adhered to the card front. I decorated the front of the berry basket with a stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (one of my favs!), then adhered a few flowers punched out of watermelon wonder and blackberry bliss with the petite petals and the flower from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack (another retiring one that I am going to miss!). I wrapped the seed packet with a tea lace doily and some linen thread. The sentiment is stamped on a cute little picket from the Handpicked framelits to finish it off. I think it turned out so cute and doubles as a little gift for the receiver!

PP285″Rain or Shine” Challenge and Team Stamp It Swap Card

Hello everyone! This week I am participating in the Paper Players “Rain or Shine” themed challenge. The card I came up with is pulling double-duty as it also is being used as my Spring themed swap card with my upline’s group – Team Stamp It! – hosted by the very talented Tami White. Here is the card I came up with:

Sunburst

To make this card, I sponged Tempting Turquoise and Pool Party onto a piece of white cardstock, then I cut out the sunburst with the thinlit die, sponged Calypso Coral in the center, and used my Wink of Stella glitter brush to add some shimmer to the sun’s rays. I adhered the sunburst layer over the top of the sponged layer and my Calypso Coral base layer. Finally, I popped the circle punched, gold-embossed sentiment up on dimensionals and added some pieces of the gold thread behind it and adhered it on top of my other layers.

Thanks for stopping by!
