3 x 3 Notecard Gift Set

I always try to come up with something different for the projects we do at my workshops. I feel that I need to incorporate a technique, a fun fold, or some sort of non-card project we haven’t made before (for example: post-it note holders, mini desk calendars, treat boxes, gift card holders, gift bags, etc.). For this month’s workshop, I decided to create these super cute mini 3 x 3 note cards that you can either give to someone as a gift set, or use individually to include with a gift or just to tell someone you are thinking of them. I loved how Stampin’ Up! used the designer series paper as the base of their 3 x 3 note cards featured on page 41 of the occasions catalog.

Here is what I came up with for my gals to make:

3 x 3 note cards

Aren’t they just darling?! I love the soft designs on the Birthday Bouquet DSP, so I used that as my base, then chose a few sentiments from several different stamp sets, added some Whisper White Baker’s Twine, and viola! They were done.

Paper Players “Balloon” Challenge – PP283

This week over at The Paper Players blog, the challenge was to create a CAS project showcasing balloons. This is what I came up with:

Balloon BirthdayBalloon Birthday 2

The curvy side of the card was freehand cut, and I put a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock on the inside of the card to give it some contrast. A few of the balloons were popped up using dimensionals, and finally I added a touch of the Wink of Stella clear pen to highlight the balloons and the stars.
