Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying this Easter. I am having Easter dinner at my grandparents’ house where I will get to visit with many people in my family, so of course, I didn’t want to show up empty handed! This is the little treat holder that I made to give to each person.
Here is a link to the tutorial by Connie Stewart, that I followed to put the base of this “egg throne” together. The exceptions to her tutorial are that I used a 1 3/4″ circle punch for the egg to sit in, and I used my Scalloped Tag Topper punch for the top.
First I stamped the chick from Honeycomb Happiness on watercolor paper with black archival ink to keep it from smearing, then I used my aqua painter to pick up some Crushed Curry ink to color him (or her?) in. I used my Pumpkin Pie marker to color the feet and beak, then punched it out with my 2 1/2″ circle punch and added a rhinestone studded flower in Watermelon Wonder. I adhered a strip of 1″ x 2″ piece of Birthday Bouquet DSP at the base before gluing the chick image to the egg holder. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Easter Lamb stamp onto whisper white cardstock and punched out with the Washi Label punch and adhered above the image. A little tip regarding the Easter Lamb stamp – you may not always want to stamp both the image and the sentiment together, so I cut the sentiment apart from the main image and mounted it on the end of my wood block, this way I don’t have to worry about masking off the main image every time I want to use just the sentiment!

Hello everyone! This week I am participating in the Paper Players “Rain or Shine” themed challenge. The card I came up with is pulling double-duty as it also is being used as my Spring themed swap card with my upline’s group – Team Stamp It! – hosted by the very talented Tami White. Here is the card I came up with:
To make this card, I sponged Tempting Turquoise and Pool Party onto a piece of white cardstock, then I cut out the sunburst with the thinlit die, sponged Calypso Coral in the center, and used my Wink of Stella glitter brush to add some shimmer to the sun’s rays. I adhered the sunburst layer over the top of the sponged layer and my Calypso Coral base layer. Finally, I popped the circle punched, gold-embossed sentiment up on dimensionals and added some pieces of the gold thread behind it and adhered it on top of my other layers.
Thanks for stopping by!
